Nos engagement Wildsuits

Wildsuits, a global perspective.

At Wildsuits, we strive to minimize our environmental impact and improve our corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts. We firmly believe that companies have a crucial role to play in protecting the environment and creating a fair and equitable society. That is why we have implemented concrete actions to reduce our environmental impact and improve our CSR efforts.

On the environmental front, our goal is to effectively and sustainably protect the environment by offering eco-responsible products and using upcycled and recycled cardboard packaging from local businesses.nt en offrant des produits éco-responsables, mais aussi du fait de notre packaging qui utilise l’upcycling et le recyclage de carton issu des commerçants environnants.

Wildsuits sérigraphie

Regarding social responsibility, we have a very open policy where each team member can speak up without censorship or judgment. We invest heavily in the work environment and conditions every day by continually improving them.

We are convinced that these concrete initiatives are the way forward. We are proud of our commitment to sustainable development, and we will continue to implement measures to protect the environment, improve working conditions, and contribute to a fairer and more equitable society.

The use of eco-friendly products and our certifications

Wetsuits

The main element of our wetsuits, eco-responsible neoprene

To replace petrochemical-based products in neoprene, Wildsuits uses neoprene extracted from limestone to reduce its ecological footprint. To further reduce its impact, Wildsuits neoprene uses "Eco carbon black" technology, developed to replace one of the main components of surf wetsuits, the carbon black pigment. This, among other things, reduces the emission of atmospheric pollutants (CO2, SO2, NO2, VOCs) by about 80%.

Note: Here, we focus more on Wildsuits' neoprene in detail. If you want more information on the other components of your wetsuit, visit the "Our Products" page or contact us via the "Contact" page.

Limestone rock

A natural and abundant material that allows us to obtain neoprene that is not derived from petrochemicals and limit the environmental impact of our wetsuits.

Bouteille Wildsuits

Recycled Polyester

A large selection of fabrics in our wetsuits are made of recycled polyester threads from recycled plastic bottles. On average, 45 plastic bottles are recycled per wetsuit, reducing both waste and material consumption.

Pneu Wildsuits

Recycling of used tires

The recycling of tires in neoprene allows for a high-quality product and offers them a greener second life while limiting the creation of raw materials for the manufacture of our wetsuits.

Certifications

In addition to using recycled and eco-friendly products, our approach is global. Not only do the materials used in our products matter, but everything related to the manufacturing process of our wetsuits. We try every day to reduce our environmental impact and improve our social responsibility, first by minimizing the number of actors involved in the production of our products. But it is also through certifications that we achieve this.

Iso 9001

ISO 9001

A quality certification implemented by our suppliers who commit to respecting the principles of quality management, ensuring product uniformity and control of the manufacturing process. This enables us to offer products that meet our expectations as well as yours in terms of maintaining quality.

Fair Trade Certified

This certification aims to improve the lives of millions of people around the world, from local farmers to mechanics on the other side of the world. It attests to the social respect of producers and fair trade among actors in the production of Limestone neoprene. It also acts on environmental protection and guarantees product traceability.

WRAP

WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) is the assurance of safe, compliant, and sustainable production. However, it is primarily the promotion of legal, humane, and above all, ethical manufacturing. This certification fulfills 12 evaluation criteria for employee working conditions established by the International Labour Organization and territorial regulations.

Bluesign

is a label that advocates transparency, environmental responsibility, and the sustainability of companies. It applies to all stages of the production chain to ensure a real consideration of environmental issues and to avoid "greenwashing." It is a guarantee of quality for consumers and companies committed to sustainable development.

Global Recycled Standard

The Global Recycled Standard promotes and guarantees the recycling of textiles and its smooth progress, certifying compliance with sustainable development and CSR criteria. It ensures non-polluting recycling, in accordance with the rules of the art. To obtain it, the label has established 8 meticulous selection criteria.

Development and support of
local and innovative projects

To further protect our planet and its environment, we work with actors who share substantially the same values as us (environmental and social protection over the long term). For example, our Limestone neoprene is manufactured using more than 60% solar energy due to the numerous solar panels positioned on the roofs of production factories.

Flahica Ines flahica

Our partnership with Flahica

he reuse of materials is the essence of Flahica. Flahica is a small company based in Férel (Portugal) with whom we share our used neoprenes. Flahica transforms neoprene from suits and fabrics of all kinds to create all kinds of handmade objects. Most of them have a direct link to the ocean, such as surfboard protection covers or fin protection covers.

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact by reusing end-of-life products, production waste, and suits from all brands we receive. We regularly make deliveries to the Flahica workshop to give these products a second life, contributing to waste reduction and the preservation of natural resources. Découvrez en plus sur l’univers de l’artisante Flahica via sa page Instagram.

True wave (film)

Wildsuits aims to be innovative and cooperative. For this reason, we highlight young ambitious people or those with strong convictions in need to finalize and highlight their ideas. From the "small" beach cleanup project to the funding of a film, Wildsuits helps and finances ideas that substantially support the same values as itself.

We have already participated in numerous rich and varied projects such as the documentary/film True Wave. True Wave.

Tupaia Sailing

Another example of a project that Wildsuits supports is the Tupaia adventure. This is an expedition of a couple of scientists going to collect information and explore the seabed (mainly coral reefs, depending on the location of the expedition). They set sail aboard their floating habitat, the SV Tupaia, hence the name of the adventure. A boat of 10.75m on which they sleep, eat, navigate, and perform all daily actions. You can now follow their adventure by joining them on Instagram: @lthiault or on their website Tupaia sailing & research expedition.

Other projects are also underway, but due to confidentiality, we cannot yet reveal them to you. If you have a project, do not hesitate to contact us by completing the contact form.

The use of recycled cardboard

Regularly, Wildsuits team members collect cardboard boxes from nearby retailers around our Nantes offices (we also carry out this process around our offices in Portugal). We closely examine the condition of these future packaging materials to ensure the quality of our products to their final destination. So don't be surprised if it's not red wine bottles in your boxes, but an eco-responsible suit instead.

Development of in-house merchandising, made by us for you

In order to minimize outsourcing and maintain control over certain aspects of our development process, we have chosen to manufacture a portion of our advertising products in-house. These products can be found in our partner shops and serve both an informative and decorative purpose. The next time you visit one of our partner shops, you will likely see a glass bottle showcasing the materials present in our products, as well as guides on how to care for our wetsuits.

Additionally, we have created a magazine of approximately one hundred pages that details our history, describes our products, and explores other interesting topics.

We have many more ideas in the works and look forward to bringing them to our retailers soon. bientôt visibles chez nos revendeurs.

o2switch

A website hosted on our own server
un serveur propre

For our website, we were in search of servers that were both cleaner and more eco-friendly. The hosting of websites and data centers can be extremely polluting, so we wanted to minimize our environmental impact in this area as well. We ultimately found a new French hosting provider called O2Switch, which has a green approach. Our provider offers only optimized equipment and uses air conditioning in a responsible way to limit energy consumption.

In summary,

we are determined to become an innovative and committed leader in sustainable development in the combination market. To achieve this goal, we are analyzing every step of our manufacturing, marketing, and development process and implementing concrete measures and actions that have a real impact on environmental protection and social responsibility. We are taking decisive and crucial initiatives at our scale, and we invite our competitors to join us in this effort. By working together, we can bring the change that the world needs, step by step.
